LINDSAY ENGLISH
SCULPT Pilates Founder + Studio Owner

Personal Motto: Wake Up. Kick-Ass. Be Kind. Repeat!

Lindsay created SCULPT Pilates to celebrate and share her love of physical strength, flexibility, and posture. By creating her own personalized studio, Lindsay has the unique ability to help clients one-on-one and through small groups in a convenient setting without the restrictions of a large company. She loves the freedom to help her clients, at their own pace, to achieve their individualized health + fitness plans!

She aims to inspire a healthy lifestyle through movement, body awareness, and self-care. As a trained dancer and musical theater guru (She can S I N G!), Lindsay can teach all levels through real-time demonstration and easy-to-follow prompts. She is encouraging and makes you feel good about your efforts!

As a trained Pilates instructor, she brings unmatched professionalism and personal attention to clients who walk into her studio. She understands and empathizes with their abilities, pains, strengths, and struggles.

Lindsay has studied gymnastics and dance for more than half of her life. She graduated from Northwestern State University with a major in Musical Theatre and a double minor in Dance and Kinesiology. She has always been passionate about the art of movement, nutrition, and health.

After college, Lindsay moved to New York City, where she continued to pursue her love for the arts through performance in musical theatre. During this time, she discovered her passion for choreography and began working with various schools and programs to bring her love of the arts to life!

Once she returned to TX in 2005, she began teaching musical theatre and dance to high school students. She feels that she “speaks teen” very well and has an innate ability to keep them engaged and inspired!

Lindsay’s Pilates journey has been such an enlightening experience that she feels extremely passionate about sharing her knowledge with anyone who will listen. After suffering from back pain for years, she finally decided to do something about it and decided to give Pilates “a shot”.

Well, it was love at first session! After just ONE session, she knew she had found something special. She was hooked and wanted to know more! After that first session, she set out to become certified. So, just 4 short months after taking that first class, she set out on her.

Pilates certification journey. Less than a year later, she was fully certified and has never regretted one single moment of the late-night studying, hours of observations, practice, reading, and (literal) sweat she put into it!

So, you could say that her love for movement (at such a young age) continues to grow today through dance, gymnastics, various physical fitness methods, and Pilates. She considers herself an “eternal student” and will always thirst for knowledge regarding the body and health. Her passion in life is to inspire others (young, old, and in between) to take control of their health! Lindsay believes that a healthy body will generate a healthy mind and soul!!

When she’s not teaching Pilates, you can find her playing with her son, spending time with family and friends, hanging out by the pool, hosting game night, doing Aerial, or relaxing on her porch swing.

Those who have worked with Lindsay have used the words “kind, generous, sassy, quick-witted, talented, and dedicated” to describe her. Lindsay is also known to have a big heart. She supports and is involved with several organizations serving the homeless and families in impoverished countries and keeps children’s health at the center of her serving.
